Succulent ART Lithops, also known as 'Living Stones' or 'Pebble Plants' are a novel and unique genus of succulent that will intrigue and captivate you!

They are masters of disguise, resembling and blending into the pebbles on the ground that they grow in-between. Most of their body remains underground, with only a translucent top visible above the soil. this 'window' is how they photosynthesise.

Each year in spring, new leaves rise up from their centre, looking a lot like a little creature pulling down their pants to moon you! How cheeky!!! In autumn a white or yellow flower emerges from their central split - A blooming fart!!!

Lithops grow very slowly, and go into dormancy during winter. It's vital that they stay dry during this period, so they don't rot. Because of this, they are suited to a life in a pot that is under cover, away from the elements.

  • They are a wonderful plant for kids - educational, yet incredibly intriguing!
  • Easy to care for - They require very little maintenance.
  • Plant them into a small pot on their own, or plant several into a small bowl.
  • Plant them in between rocks or pebbles and watch them change their colours and camouflage into their environment!
  • Makes a wonderful living gift – Ignore those cut flowers, give a gift that will last a lifetime!
